This is the story of a remarkable child’s first year of life. What makes her remarkable? She was born with Prader-Willi Syndrome (PWS), also known as the “floppy baby syndrome.”

PWS infants are born with hypotonia, or low muscle tone. It’s a medical condition where muscles have decreased strength and appear floppy or limp. Symptoms include poor head control, difficulty lifting limbs, and potential delays in motor skill development, such as sitting, crawling, or speaking. It also affects the ability to eat and swallow.

From doctors and nurses to mom and dad, from brother and sister to grandma and granddad, this is a love story—a story of love and the struggles this remarkable child has faced during her first year.
